It’s no surprise that India & Indians are synonyms to the world of Information Technology.
Be it with the early, big hitters of the likes of N. R. Narayana Murthy & Nandan Nilekani or the new age poster boys of Sachin Bansal & Bhavish Aggarwal, the relationship of India & IT is a long & everlasting soap opera.
Since the Department of Electronics broke its impasse, creating STPI in 1991, IT has seen tremendous growth in India. India has become the world’s largest sourcing destination for IT, accounting for approximately 67% of the US$130 billion global market share. With an ever growing workforce of over 10 million, our potential to take over the world is very imminent. This is no surprise as we see a rise of Indians dominating the corporate ranks. We take immense pride in listing a few of the Indians that’s making India proud.
